2010 Nissan GT-R Review

Overview

The 2010 Nissan GT-R is a supercar that receives several upgrades for the current model year. For 2010, the GT-R includes updated braking system with more rigid brake lines, retuned suspension with redesigned Bilstein shocks and new Transmission Control Module programming. The car comes in base and Premium trim levels.

Power and performance

A standard 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged 24-valve V6 engine is packed under the hood of both trim levels and it sends 485 horsepower to the wheels. A dual clutch six-speed transmission and ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive setup with patented independent rear-mounted transaxle integrating transmission, differential and AWD transfer case are standard on all GT-R models.

Body and styling

The 2010 Nissan GT-R base model is well-equipped with exterior features such as high-luster, smoke finish for the 20-inch RAYS forged aluminum-alloy wheels. A new near-black metallic wheel finish is standard on the Premium trim level. Other exterior highlights include Front fenders designed to optimize air management around the wheels; LED taillights and brake lights; body-colored rear spoiler; power folding outside mirrors; High Intensity Discharge (HID) xenon headlights; dual heated body-color power outside mirrors; UV-reducing solar glass; aluminum hood, trunk lid and outer door skins; and flush-mounted aluminum door handles. Inside, the GT-R features a whole lot of convenience and comfort amenities such as Nissan Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition; HomeLink Universal Transceiver; Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System; power front windows with driver's one-touch auto-down and auto-reverse; dual zone automatic temperature control; remote keyless entry with trunk release; cruise control with steering wheel-mounted controls; tilt and telescoping steering column with integrated gauges; map lights; variable intermittent flat-blade windshield wipers; auto-dimming inside rearview mirror; 8-way power driver's seat; leather-appointed seats; 4-way power front passenger's seat with entry/exit switch for rear passenger; leather-wrapped steering wheel; Nissan Hard Drive Navigation System with GPS and voice recognition; seven-inch WVGA high-resolution color-LCD touch-screen display for audio, navigation and performance monitor, and 9.3 GB Music Box hard drive.
